Another Look at Second Life in Higher Ed

In a recent entry, I discussed the future of Second Life in higher education, which is an idea that I am very excited about. I just came across a promotional video for the Ohio University Second Life Campus, and I wanted to share it with you. Ohio University gives us a great example of what you can do with Second Life and the possibilities for metaverse application in higher ed. The video is a little cheesy in the beginning, but stick with it to the end. It's worth it!

Enjoy!

Meredith,

That was a neat video promo. This is kind of off-topic, but the video sparked my memory of another exceptional site I've seen lately.

William Woods university has one of the most unique sites I've ever seen - higher education or otherwise.

Visit http://www.gotduck.com for a peek. You need to sign up for a password and get to the Featured Content, but it is worth it. The site is completely unique and worth poking around for 30 minutes. One of the 'coolest' higher-ed sites I've seen!

Regards,
Toby

Thanks Toby, that made my day!

I love it when higher ed does something really unique like this. It is really refreshing to see schools go outside the box. You should check out the Kettering "School Daze" online ad if you haven't already... VERY cool! http://getreal.kettering.edu/gr2/schooldaze.cfm

Please let me know if you come across any other creative sites.
