Jeffrey possesses a rare combination of professional experiences that enable him to be equally skillful at tactical decision making as well as strategic planning. In his role as President and Partner, Jeffrey steers the strategic management of SimpsonScarborough, while continuing to cultivate strong client relationships. Jeffrey earned both his B.A. and M.Ed. from Kent State University and his doctoral degree in higher education administration from the University of Maryland, College Park. His doctoral dissertation focused on undergraduate student retention. In addition, Jeffrey has served as a frequent presenter at professional national conferences focusing on admissions and marketing including the National Association for College Admission Counseling, American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, the National Strategic Enrollment Management Conference, and the National Small College Admissions Conference. Dr. Jeffrey Papa, President and Partner, is a national expert in the areas of enrollment management, admissions, marketing, and student retention. Before joining the SimpsonScarborough team, Dr. Papa served as the Executive Vice President for Carnegie Communications, a marketing firm that provides research, consulting, and creative services to a variety of colleges and universities. In addition, Jeffrey spent 20 years of his career working in enrollment management and marketing on three college campuses—ranging from large, public universities to small, private colleges.
